Applying a safe and sustainable approach to design in products’ pre-market design phase can improve product safety, reduce the risks to human and environmental health from pollution, and support the world’s transition to a circular and low-carbon economy.
The ecoinvent database includes information on core economic products/activities of high relevance to most product systems, allowing designers to focus their efforts on the products/activities most relevant for their systems (foreground data).
