Sept 24th, 2023
The ecoinvent database is a global library of human activities, representing thousands of processes that supply goods and services across all industrial sectors. These activities consume both natural resources from the environment as well as products from other human activities. At the same time, they release emissions to water, soil and air.
Specifically, the ecoinvent database contains more than 20,000 reliable life cycle inventory datasets, covering a range of industrial sectors. These include agriculture and animal husbandry, building and construction, chemicals and plastics, energy, forestry and wood, metals, textiles, transport, touristic accommodation, waste treatments and recycling, and water supply, among other.
