### GDP 

Abbreviation for Gross Domestic Product 

### Geography 

The term “geography” refers to a geographic region in the context of ecoinvent. This can be the whole world (global, GLO), a region of several countries (e.g. Europe, RER), one country (e.g. Germany, DE) or a smaller area (e.g. a province in Canada). Activities are always valid for certain geography.

### GLO 

Abbreviation for global 

### Groundwater 

Water contained in aquifers which are strata in which the water is contained in the porous voids (saturated zone). 

### Groundwater Depletion

Rate of groundwater abstraction in excess of natural recharge rate.
