The data quality guidelines are the cornerstone document of ecoinvent version 3 database providing a complete documentation and explanation of the principles and rules for ecoinvent version 3.
Database Service Layer
The ecoinvent database consists of unlinked single or multi-output datasets on unit process level. These datasets are linked based on the system model chosen. Linking is performed by the so-called database service layer. The database service layer is a group of mathematical formulas, commands and validation rules specific to a chosen system model.
